A note consists of a regular window frame, while the rest of the space is dedicated to text. You’re free to adjust the size of the note, move it around the desktop, but with no option to make it stay on top of everything else. On the other hand, you can fix it in place by removing borders.

Notes come with an impressive array of customization options, accessible from the context menu. On the one hand, you can change the title by modifying caption. Background of a note can be fitted with a different color, but without an option to select a picture in this regard. Additionally, text benefits from all common edit options, like font style, type, size, and color.
A cool feature is the built-in alert system, which can be attributed to each note in particular. Although you can’t select the sound file, an alarm can be set by simply writing down the date, and time when you want to be alerted. Even if minimized, the target note shows up, with a popup window when time is due.
