URLMonitor Description
The Internet became the heart and mind of computers worldwide, and almost all PCs have access to it. This means that a whole bunch of activities depend on the availability of websites. Chances are you strictly depend on specific website info, and this is where URLMonitor comes in handy, letting you set up actions to trigger on custom rules.
Can be used on the go
On the bright side of things, the application doesn’t take you through a setup process to enable functionality, but you do need to make sure that .NET Framework is installed on your computer. Moreover, you’re free to carry it on a thumb drive to use, along with configured settings, on other computers, without affecting stability because registry entries remain intact.
All the application has to offer is found in a clean interface which doesn’t really pose any accommodation problems. One window is used to show all tasks, which you can even load from an existing TXT file. The other window presents all possible configurations, which are pretty self explanatory, and don’t require much setup effort.
Easy setup of conditions and alerts
The URL configuration screen, on the one hand, needs to be filled with the target address. All trigger conditions can be configured on the spot. First, some conditions need to be met, which include some logical operators, such as equals, contains, and the negative correspondents. These can either be associated with files or text.
As far as alerts go, this can mean a simple message, playing a WAV file on repeat, or even opening a file. These options need to be configured for every website of interest. There’s the possibility to set up multiple websites to monitor, and you can even save the list to create multiple groups.
In conclusion
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that URLMonitor is a reliable application which allows you to set up different types of filters and conditions based on particular website monitors. It can be used on the go, while configuration options don’t require much effort, regardless of your experience.
